Redefining Leadership, Enterprise, and Vision in Africa’s Automotive Future

By Fresh Facts Magazine –

In a world where leadership, innovation, and resilience define true impact, HRH Dr. Prince Adesina Adebiyi —the Agbaakin Majeobaje of Ibadanland and Chief Executive Officer of Unique Motors—continues to stand tall as one of Africa’s most dynamic emerging industrial forces. His journey, marked by grit, grace, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence, is fast becoming a reference point for young entrepreneurs across the continent.

Recently, Fresh Facts Magazine engaged His Royal Highness in an exclusive interview, one that unveiled the depth of his vision, the challenges that shaped his path, and his bold ambition to give Nigeria its own proudly built automobile brand.

A Journey Rooted in Grace and Determination

For Dr. Adebiyi, success has never been a solitary race; it has been a product of divine direction and steadfast commitment.

“It’s not been easy,” he said with characteristic humility. “But we give glory to Almighty God. He has been sustaining us through the year and perfecting our journey. Whatever situation we face, we still thank God.”

Born on May 2nd, 1982, in Ibadan, with ancestral roots in Ondo State, his rise from a young school prefect to a prominent African business figure reflects a lifetime of discipline and purpose. His early leadership at St. Williams Primary School and Baptist Secondary School foreshadowed a future defined by influence and service. His academic excellence—culminating in Electrical Electronics Engineering studies at Federal Polytechnic Ede and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)—laid the foundation for a robust career in enterprise.

Building Unique Motors: The Birth of a Vision

In 2011, the young entrepreneur founded Unique Americars, a modest venture that would evolve into Unique Motors, one of Nigeria’s most recognizable automobile brands. Guided by a clear vision to create a multi-sector conglomerate, Dr. Agba expanded operations into finance, auto services, supply, and international business.

But the journey has not been without its storms.

As a major importer, he openly acknowledged the biting impact of Nigeria’s unstable exchange rate.

“We’ve been sourcing foreign exchange mostly through the BDC and the black market,” he explained. “The banks have not been particularly supportive.”

Yet resilience remains his strongest currency. Despite the tough business climate—marked by inflation, insecurity, and restricted financial access—Unique Motors has sustained growth, expanded its customer base, and strengthened its reputation for quality and reliability.

A Bold Dream: Nigeria’s Own Car Brand

Perhaps the most compelling revelation from the interview is Dr. Adebiyi,’s audacious dream to build Nigeria’s own automobile line.

“Our plant is in Lagos,” he disclosed. “The project is a bit behind schedule, but we’re still working on it. In the nearest future, we will be building our own made-in-Nigeria automobiles.”

This vision, he noted, extends beyond Nigeria, with plans to push the brand across African markets. If realized, it will position Unique Motors among Africa’s pioneering indigenous automobile manufacturers—an achievement of historic proportions.

A Philanthropist with a Heart of Service

Beyond business, Dr. Adebiyi,’s personality radiates compassion. He is widely recognized for his philanthropic initiatives, youth empowerment programs, and cultural advocacy within Ibadanland and beyond.

“Charity is from the heart,” he reflected. “If you have love for people, you won’t go a day without helping someone.”

From supporting community projects to sponsoring educational initiatives, his humanitarian footprint continues to expand.

Recognition of Excellence: An African Game Changer

On the strength of his transformational contributions, HRH Dr. Prince Adesina Adebiyi was recently nominated for inclusion in the 2025 Edition of the 100 African Game Changers Compendium, a prestigious publication that celebrates individuals reshaping industries and communities across the continent.

At the official presentation ceremony, Fresh Facts Magazine Publisher, Comrade Monday Iyke Ojomah, described him as:

“A shining example of excellence, cultural pride, entrepreneurial vision, and compassionate service to humanity.”

The honour highlights his influence not just in business, but in leadership, cultural preservation, youth development, and nation-building.

Message to Customers and the Youth

In his closing remarks during our interview, the CEO reaffirmed his gratitude:

“The customers are the king. Without them, we can’t do anything. We appreciate them deeply.”

To young Nigerians, he offered a timeless piece of wisdom:

“The youth are the future of the nation. Build the youth, build the nation.”

A Legacy of Simplicity, Impact, and Vision

When asked how he hopes to be remembered, his answer was simple:

“I want people to see me as a simple man—a man who touched the lives of people around him.”

From humble beginnings to continental recognition, HRH Dr. Prince Adesina Adebiyi’s story is a masterclass in perseverance and purpose. His vision for Nigeria’s automobile industry, combined with his unwavering commitment to humanity, continues to cement his place among Africa’s emerging icons of transformation.

As Nigeria and the African continent brace for a new era of industrial innovation, one thing is clear:
Dr. Adebiyi, is not just building cars—he is building hope, building opportunity, and building the future.
