Osun State — A retired senior military officer and Osun West Senatorial aspirant, Bashir Biodun Adewinmbi, has extended warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful across Osun West, Osun State, and Nigeria, calling for renewed commitment to unity, peace, and national development.
In a goodwill message marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, Adewinmbi congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the fasting period, describing the occasion as a time for gratitude, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
He noted that Ramadan embodies core values such as sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and peace, urging adherents to sustain these virtues beyond the sacred period. According to him, the lessons learned during the fasting season should serve as a guiding force in promoting harmony and coexistence within communities.
The senatorial hopeful emphasized the importance of unity and collective responsibility, encouraging citizens to work together toward the progress, peace, and prosperity of the nation.
