He later earned a B.Sc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Ibadan and proceeded to various advanced military and management courses locally and internationally, including training in Bangladesh.
Throughout his military career, he held strategic financial and administrative roles, including Director of Finance and Accounts at the Defence Intelligence Agency and Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Finance. He also participated in United Nations peacekeeping operations in Somalia.
