A major security milestone was achieved in Osun State on Saturday evening when operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps arrested a notorious murder and kidnap suspect, Ayoola Samuel Awe, popularly known as Bishop Awasere.
The suspect, who has long been on the wanted list of multiple security agencies across the South-West, was tracked to a hideout in the Isokun area of Ilesa around 5:59 p.m. Acting on credible intelligence, Amotekun operatives launched a coordinated raid that sparked a fierce gun battle as members of Awe’s gang attempted to resist arrest.
