In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the people of Otolokpo through the President General of the Otolokpo Development Union (ODU) Worldwide, Chief Barr. David Igbodo (AIG, Rtd.), the monarch was extolled as a unifying force and a symbol of stability and purposeful traditional leadership. The message described the Obi as a father to all, whose reign has fostered enduring peace, mutual coexistence, and steady progress within the kingdom.

Chief Igbodo noted that since Obi Ezenweali ascended the throne, Otolokpo Kingdom has witnessed a remarkable decline in communal tensions alongside increased grassroots development initiatives. These achievements, he said, are a direct reflection of the monarch’s wisdom, accessibility, and commitment to inclusive and people-oriented governance.

“Our revered Obi has continued to provide leadership anchored on justice, peace, and development. Under his reign, Otolokpo has become a model of harmony and communal progress. Today, as he marks his birthday, we are grateful for his sacrifices and prayers for the kingdom,” the message read.

The birthday celebration has also attracted warm congratulations from prominent personalities within and beyond Delta State, underscoring the wide respect and goodwill the monarch enjoys outside his immediate domain.

Among the well-wishers is Sir Dr. Anthony Nwokolobia, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Delta State Deputy Governor, who praised the Obi’s unwavering commitment to peace and the preservation of traditional values, describing him as a vital bridge between culture and modern governance.

Similarly, Dr. Chuks Alizor, Head of Marketing at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), lauded the monarch’s leadership style, noting that his reign exemplifies how traditional institutions can play meaningful roles in community development and youth engagement.

Also lending his voice, Barr. Eugene Uzum, another illustrious son of the kingdom and a prominent political figure in the state, commended Obi Ezenweali for his neutrality, fairness, and moral authority in local affairs—qualities he said have strengthened the social fabric of Otolokpo Kingdom.

Across the kingdom today, residents, youths, women groups, and community leaders are united in prayers for long life, sound health, and continued wisdom for the monarch, expressing confidence that his reign will continue to attract peace, development, and wider recognition to Otolokpo.
