Franklin Ajayi Recognized as an ‘Icon of Hope to Humanity’ for Impact in Real Estate and Philanthropy

Abuja – Renowned real estate entrepreneur and humanitarian, Mr. Ajayi Franklin, has been conferred with the Certificate of Noble Prize for Excellence with the honorary title “Icon of Hope to Humanity” by the Advocate for Good Governance in Nigeria (AFGIN).

The award presentation, which took place at his Abuja office, was delivered on behalf of AFGIN’s Executive Director, HE Amb. Dr. Awalu Malik, by the organization’s Director of Programs.

Quoting former U.S. President John Quincy Adams, Dr. Malik noted that Franklin embodies true leadership by inspiring others “to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more.”

He praised Franklin for his visionary leadership as Chairman/CEO of AF Royalton International Estate and Homes Ltd, describing him as “a man who has consistently demonstrated that business success can go hand in hand with social impact, integrity, and human development.”

A Rich Career of Service and Leadership

With nearly two decades of experience in the built industry, Mr. Franklin Ajayi has become a household name in Nigeria’s real estate sector. His company, AF Royalton International Estates & Homes Ltd, has delivered over 28 estates across Nigeria since its inception in 2011, with projects at various levels of development.

Before venturing into real estate, Franklin distinguished himself in the capital market, where he worked for over 15 years, rising from Business Executive to Regional Manager of Eurocomm Securities Ltd, one of Nigeria’s leading stockbroking firms.

A passionate advocate for professional standards, Franklin is the Chairman of the Certified Institute of Auctioneers Nigeria (FCT Chapter) and a fellow of the institute, where he was honoured among the “10 Most Outstanding Auctioneers in Nigeria.” He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Builders (NIOB) and an active player in the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), serving as its spokesperson in the FCT Chapter and as a member of its disciplinary committee.

On the international front, Franklin has led housing delegations abroad and organized major platforms such as the International Real Estate Conference and Exhibition (IRECE), now in its 4th edition, as well as the Real Estate Masterclass & Exhibition in South Africa. He recently coordinated a REDAN event in Kigali in partnership with RwandAir, the University of Kigali, and other global stakeholders.

In academia, he holds a degree from Ambrose Alli University, Edo State, studied Building Technology at the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, and is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management at Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Property Auctioneering from the University of Ibadan.

Franklin is also known for his radio and TV contributions, anchoring programs such as “The Smart Investor Guide” and “The Real Estate & Auction Show” on stations like Kiss FM, Boss FM, We FM, and TSTV, where he educates Nigerians on real estate and investment opportunities.

A devout Christian, he attributes his success to God’s grace and mercy.

Goodwill Messages

Associates, colleagues, and friends in separate interviews, poured encomiums on Mr. Franklin following his latest recognition.

Engr. Chinedu Obieze, a long-time associate in the real estate sector, described Franklin as “a man whose integrity and consistency have redefined how developers are perceived in Nigeria. He is not just building houses; he is building hope.”
