The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Global Ambassadors (BATGA) has commended Brigadier General Biodun Bashiru Adewinmbi (rtd) for what it described as a strong demonstration of party loyalty and discipline in the ongoing political process within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State.
In a statement issued by the group, BATGA praised the retired military officer for complying with party directives in obtaining, completing, and submitting his nomination form for the Osun West Senatorial District, a move the group said reflects adherence to internal party structure and discipline.
According to BATGA, Adewinmbi’s action represents “the spirit of sacrifice, unity, and respect for party hierarchy,” values it associated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s longstanding political philosophy and leadership style.
The group, which identifies itself as a support platform aligned with the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda, also appealed to party leaders and stakeholders to prioritize collective interest over individual ambition as the party prepares for upcoming elections in Osun State.
It noted that lessons from the 2022 Osun governorship election should guide current decisions, warning that internal divisions and personal interests could undermine electoral success if not carefully managed.
BATGA further described Brig. Gen. Adewinmbi as a strong contender for the Osun West Senatorial seat, citing his grassroots connections, leadership experience, and military background as key strengths that could enhance the party’s chances in the district.
The group emphasized its readiness to support any credible and transparent nomination process within the APC, whether through direct or indirect primaries, while stressing that consensus-building remains an important tradition within the party’s political structure.
It added that Osun West remains a strategically important constituency for the APC’s broader political objectives in Osun State, urging that merit, loyalty, and capacity be the guiding principles in selecting the party’s flag bearer.
BATGA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting candidates it described as aligned with President Tinubu’s vision of capacity-driven and inclusive governance.
The statement was signed by Prince Realtor Kayode Olabode, Convener and National Coordinator of BATGA, alongside Alhaji Ambassador Nurudeen A., Secretary General and Chief Operating Officer of the group.
