The former Corp Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps and retired senior military officer, Brigadier General Biodun Bashir Adewinmbi (rtd), has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment towards ensuring the victory of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), in the forthcoming August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
Adewinmbi, a respected political stakeholder and loyal party chieftain, declared that he remains fully committed to the success of the APC at the polls and will continue to mobilize support across the state until victory is secured for the party.
Speaking with supporters during a strategic engagement with party loyalists, the retired General emphasized the need for unity, dedication and sustained grassroots mobilization among APC members ahead of the gubernatorial contest. He noted that the AMBO project represents continuity of progressive governance, development and people-oriented leadership in Osun State.
According to him, no effort would be spared in ensuring that the APC returns to power in the state, stressing that the party’s victory would guarantee improved governance, economic growth and better welfare for the people of Osun.
In a major boost to the campaign structure, Brigadier General Adewinmbi also donated a brand new Hummer Bus fully branded in the colours and insignia of the AMBO Campaign Team. The campaign vehicle, which has already attracted widespread attention among party faithful and residents, is expected to strengthen campaign logistics, grassroots outreach and mobilization efforts across the various local government areas of the state.
Political observers have described the gesture as a clear demonstration of Adewinmbi’s steadfast loyalty, sacrifice and deep commitment to the APC and the AMBO governorship ambition.
Party supporters who witnessed the unveiling of the branded campaign bus applauded the retired military officer for what they described as a timely intervention capable of energizing campaign activities ahead of the election.
